Fundraising

Fundraising

As a small registered charity we rely on revenue from fundraising to help us update our equipment and buy new resources for the children. We apply for grants whenever possible and have several fundraising schemes that we participate in, as well as organising our own events, but we are always looking for new fundraising ideas! If you have any suggestions please email them to . We let parents and carers know about any specific fundraising events that are coming up, but there are some examples below of the events and schemes that we get involved in.

The Giving Machine

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - from your weekly shop to your annual holiday - you could be raising a free donation for Mother Goose Pre-School? There are nearly 3000 retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, Next, Debenhams and Currys, who will donate a percentage of the amount you spend each time you shop with them. It's really simple and doesn't cost you anything extra. All you have to do is sign up at https://www.thegivingmachine.co.uk and enter Mother Goose Pre-school as your nominated charity. Our quick sign-up code is: 231990.

Empties Please

We collect empty ink and toner cartridges, which are then recycled and turned in to cash for the Pre-School. Please ask if you would like to take an envelope home to put your empty cartridges in or you can pop them straight in the box in pre-school. Alternatively, if your business could collect cartridges for us to recycle, please let us know and we can supply a recycling box. A full list of the cartridges that can be recycled is available on the Empties Please homepage.

Tesco and Sainsbury’s vouchers

We are registered with both the Tesco and Sainsbury’s vouchers for schools schemes. During the promotional periods we have a box in the pre-school to collect vouchers and we are always very grateful for any donated vouchers, particularly if you can encourage friends, neighbours and family members to donate theirs too!
