We recognise that from time-to-time, your child may need to attend an additional session. We will be happy to arrange this providing we have space, and we request that payment is made on the day for these extra sessions.

Payments can be made by bank transfer (preferred), cash, cheque.

Universal 15 Hours Free Childcare

All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free early years education per week (over 38 weeks per year), until they either go into reception class or reach compulsory school age (the term following their fifth birthday). This free entitlement is paid from the term after your child turns three and is paid directly to the Pre-School by Cambridgeshire County Council. We are also able to accept children who are eligible for the 15 hours as a ‘funded two’. For further information & eligibility criteria, please visit: http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/free2s.

The 15 hours per week of funded education may be taken by attending one 3-hour session per day.  However, it can also be taken flexibly, and can include lunch club.  For example, 12 hours can be taken by attending four morning sessions, or could be taken over three days by attending the session as well as lunch club.  Should your child attend for more than their funded hours, you will be required to pay the Pre-School for the additional childcare hours.

Free 30 Hours Childcare for Working Parents

In addition to the universal scheme, the Government has extended the free childcare entitlement for working parents who qualify, to 30-hours per week. To find out if you are eligible, please use the following calculator: https://www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator.

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare vouchers are a Government initiative that allows parents to save on their registered childcare costs. Parents exchange a part of their salary through their employer and receive the same amount in childcare vouchers. This reduces the amount of tax and National Insurance that are payable. Mother Goose Pre-School currently has childcare vouchers accounts set up with a number of different providers and will be happy to register with any new provider.
