Clothing & Uniform

It is important that your children are wear comfortable and non-restrictive clothing whilst at Mother Goose. Whilst we provide protective clothing and aprons for messy activities, we do ask that children do not come to Pre-school wearing their best clothes, as some days can get very messy! We like to encourage children to develop skills that will help them look after themselves and this includes taking off and putting on outdoor clothes and learning to get dressed. Clothing that is easy for them to manage will enable the children to become more independent. Children are also expected to bring a full change of named clothing with them every day, together with waterproof clothing and wellington boots.

We also have a non-compulsory uniform, which encourages children to feel part of the Mother Goose family and helps prepare them for wearing a full uniform when they move on to school. We have partnered up with a local company, Sew Krafty based in Royston, to supply us with beautifully embroidered polo shirts, t-shirts, sweaters, hoodies and reversible fleeces. Ordering is done through a simple, online form (here) and once we have received your payment at the pre-school, your items will be ready to collect within a maximum of 10 days. There is no minimum order quantity and items can be collected directly from Sew Krafty (near Tesco in Royston) or delivered to your home address.

Mother Goose will receive a small commission of 10% of the value of all orders, and this will be added to our fundraising total for the year and spent on replenishing equipment, toys and resources for the Pre-School.
